Keynote: Stronger Than Your Trauma – From Victim to Resilient Leader
An inspiring and practical keynote on trauma, leadership, and resilience in the workplace

Let’s create space for real conversations about trauma at work

As an HR manager, I’ve stood beside employees after a crisis — trying to offer support, holding space, looking for the right words. But nothing truly prepared me for what happened next in my own life.

I became the victim of an armed robbery. Not long after, I witnessed my life partner die in a traffic accident.
Suddenly, I wasn’t the professional guiding others — I was the one in shock, the one grieving, the one trying to hold on.

I experienced firsthand how trauma affects not just individuals, but entire teams, systems, and cultures.
The silence. The discomfort. The pressure to move on — when your whole world has stopped.

This keynote is built on that experience — both personal and professional. I share my story not to dramatize, but to connect.
To show what trauma really does, and more importantly, what’s possible after: growth, resilience, and meaningful leadership.

Through real-life insight, I invite HR professionals, prevention advisors and wellbeing leaders to rethink how we respond to trauma.
How we can move from reaction to recognition. From isolation to support. From policy to lived practice.

This session is a human conversation — grounded in experience, backed by my work as a coach, my book Stronger Than Your Trauma - How to transform from victim to hero, and the Sustainable Wellbeing Platform after Trauma I developed for victims, organisations, and teams.

If we want a truly sustainable wellbeing policy, trauma must be part of the mission — understood, integrated, and shared.
